Feast or Famine

The past year has been one of big adjustment for me. With Julie our youngest getting married and the other kids all living far away from us, I have done a lot of pondering and thinking about what my life direction is now. No one trained me for the empty nest. There have been trips to Logan to see Justin, Alicia and kids, and to Orem to visit Josh and Jayne. And some longer trips to Athens (OH) to see Jeremy and Leigh. These have been happy times and what I call feasting, spending days together in hopes that the memories made will make up for all of the time we are apart. This summer we have had one BIG feast with Jeremy, Leigh, Justin, Alicia, Ema, Bracken, Josh, and Jayne spending several weeks with us and Julie and Matt popping in regularly. It has been really great! Now I feel the famine coming on again. Justin left for VA yesterday and his family is in northern UT until he gets things arranged there for them to move, J and J are in WA on vacation and will soon start school again, J and M are on a anniversary trip in CA with plans to move to No. UT when they get home, and J and L will be moving to PA in a few days. With all the kids gone, Steve and I are finding ourselves with more time together which is fun. Life is interesting and ever changing - which leave no time to get bored! As for me my meditating and pondering about life continues as I venture into new adventures I am excited for the journey!
