Steve raced in a 100 mile mountain bike race starting in Leadville, CO which is over 10,000 ft. in elevation. From there they went up and up and up (with some down in between so they could go up again!) It is the hardest mountain bike race in the United States. I wonder if those who do it might have something wrong with them to be willing to inflict this type of pain to themselves, haha!
